Compassionate In-Home or On-Site Care
Our dedicated team of veterinary professionals understand the importance of a peaceful euthanasia without the added stress of transporting your pet to the clinic. We offer compassionate and personalized euthanasia services for all animals in a location of your choice on the island of Maui, whether it be at home, at the beach, or at your pet's favorite spot. Personalized After-Life Services
If your pet had a compassionate euthanasia at home through Makawao Veterinary Clinic, we offer transport to our environmentally conscious crematorium. Use another veterinary clinic? We will pick your pet up from the veterinary clinic of your choice and bring your pets ashes back to your veterinarian within one week.
Cremations can be expedited for pet owners who wish to receive their companion's ashes within 48 hours.
Cremations can also be private, where you receive your pet's ashes and their ashes only. We offer a variety of urns to choose from, including urns made with native woods by local artists.
Cremations may also be communal, where you do not receive the ashes back. Communal ashes are spread among the trees in a native forest restoration project in Keokea overlooking the ocean.
Quality of Life Consults
How will you know when the time is right? When facing the most difficult decision of your pets life, a Quality of Life Consult can help provide the support you need. We can:
- Examine your pet's overall health and well-being.
- Discuss your unique concerns for your pet, yourself, and your family.
- Go into an in-depth exploration of the many facets of your pet’s quality of life.
- Have a consult that may lead into palliative care options that may enhance quality of life or may facilitate planning for end-of-life care.
- Discuss goals for how you would like the end of your pet’s journey to look and how these goals could be achieved. Discussion of what in-home euthanasia can look like.
- Discuss worries you may have in anticipation of losing your beloved pet.
It is our goal to help guide, support, and prepare you to facilitate the most peaceful passing to your pet’s story that is possible.
COMING SOON! Celebration of Life Memorial with Expedited Cremation Services
For some people, being able to come say a final farewell to their pet is an integral part of their healing process. We will soon offer memorial services so that you can be close to your pet during the beginning of their cremation process. Expedited cremations are part of the memorial service, meaning their pet's ashes will be returned within 48 hours.
